The large white shrimp which count 16-20 per pound are what most people like to buy in quantities and freeze for the winter... they will start showing up in October and last until early December-January. Large white shrimp (16-20 per pound) will start showing up in October and that's the time to buy 'em. I do not have a storefront/retail store where you can come by and purchase small quantities of shrimp, but I do get the shrimp straight off the boats daily and make deliveries locally. Because I don't have a storefront and the associated overhead, I am able to sell the shrimp for much less than what you'd pay at a retail seafood market or grocery store... not to mention that my shrimp don't have a shelf to sit on so they are about as fresh as you can get.
