Hi Tina,
I deliver to a lot of repeat customers from the Columbia area (as well as Clemson, Greenville, Spartanburg, Florence, and my grandfather's hometown of Orangeburg) ... however, I do not deliver to these cities ... I always meet these customers in Summerville just off of Interstate 26. I process the oysters in McClellanville and then drive an hour and twenty minutes to Summerville so meeting you from Columbia is just about meeting in the middle. Thanks, and give me a call 843-568-6380.

When we started doing this years ago we charged $25 per bushel of local clusters. We've since increased our prices to be in line with the market price...they are now $27 per bushel; this includes delivering them to your door...this is the same as you would pay at a local retailer but you would have to drive there and pick them up yourself. Call Jeff to have your oysters delivered - 843-568-6380.

Hey Scott,
If you would like to pick oysters in the Bull's Bay area (by far the best oysters in Charleston), first you must have a South Carolina saltwater fishing liscence which allows you to pick two bushels recreationaly. You can get one at most tackle shops or hardware stores. It costs ten dollars per year for a South Carolina resident. The next thing you need to do is figure out which areas around Bull's Bay you are allowed to pick oysters without a commercial liscence. The best thing to do there is go to the Department of Natural Resources main office on Ft. Johnson Rd, James Island. They will be able to tell you where to go and even provide you with a map. The next thing is to get the boat in the water and go find some oysters! I'll be writing some future blog posts on how it's done, so check back. In the meantime, happy pickin', and if you're looking for more than two bushels (recreational limit) for your party or oyster roast, please let us know, we'd be happy to bring them to you.
